Cold Medicine Laws for Washington State

Hey, just an FYI. It looks like there has been a few changes to some laws here in Washington. For example, you can only purchase three bottles of Nyquil per transaction, one Theraflu capsule, and then you on top of all of that you cannot purchase Mucinex in the same transaction of Theraflu. So, just a heads up when you are making your cold medicine purchases. I'm not exactly sure what changes, but this is what my momma had dealt with today when trying to stock up on her cold medicines.

Anyone have anymore info about this?
Thanks!

New Year's Resolutions

I don't know about you, but I don't normally make new year resolutions, as I am not good about keeping stuff like that. Well, this year, I have decided to make a couple.....

1. Be more organized with life, work, and blogging.
2. Keep and up-to-date summary of spendings and savings.
3. I do have a third one.......................GET BACK ON TRACK WITH MY WEIGHT LOSS!!!!!!!

That's it. I REALLY need to be more organized and I REALLY want to keep track of my spendings and savings. I think that I/we can be EVEN more frugal this year.

What do you have in store for this year? Are you making any resolutions?

Happy new year!!!

Monday Weigh-In Report

on Sunday. Yep, took myself and the family into Weight Watchers this morning, but I was a coward (as my husband would gladly tell you) and I did NOT weigh-in. NO WAY, NO HOW was I going to weigh-in. I knew I would be getting VERY bad news. I did NOT do good last week. I REALLY fell off of the wagon BIG TIME. I was/am a true addict. I now have NOTHING standing in my way now. We have a couple of birthdays coming in the next few months, but they are NOT going to derail me. I just got a notice that registration is open for Bloomsday, so I am going to be working towards that. Last year was our first year EVER doing Bloomsday and so this year will be our second year and we are going to do it as a family. Last year it was my husband, my son, myself, my brother-in-law, and my sister-in-law. This year it will be my husband, myself, and our three kiddos.

Anyway, I have no excuses now. I did good on the new plan until Christmas and then I just got caught up in eating whatever I wanted, when I wanted.

Anyway, I'm ready......BRING IT ON!!!! I am going to WIN this battle and I am GOING TO KICK BUTT! Anyone else out there want to jump on my wagon? Want to share your struggles and successes? Come on, come join me! I would love more partners on this journey.:)

Rite Aid

As of today, the Rite Aid on Argonne and Mission has their Christmas clearance down to 75% off! Yes, this includes most toys and other items they were selling for Christmas. I was able to score a few things like a Nintendog that was normally $19.99, I got for $4.99. We will be saving this for my daughter's birthday, later this summer. Anyway, we spent a total of $43 on various items (more than what I like to spend at Rite Aid), but we saved $131! If you do end up going, make sure you watch the prices because some of the items like: Snuggies, Justin Bieber (sp) doll, and hot wheels are not part of the sale even though they are with the sale items. The sale is 75% off of "selected" items. So, just a heads up on that.

I can't take a picture 'cause my kiddos are up and most of the stuff that we bought were for future gifts for them.

We were in there and a lady spent $300 and saved $1,500! Wow! She had like FOUR shopping carts full! :)

Thanks!
