To Top Off My Day

She.......
PEED in the house!!!! How do I dare get upset with this though? She's just sooooo cute. Look at the little bow I found this morning (from when Faith was a baby). It didn't stay in the hair long, but oh soooo cute!

Complaint and Doublers?

Well, if you have been reading my blog a while, then you know that I don't normally "like" "my" Albertsons (Trent and Argonne). They have been the most rude, short, arrogant people I have ever met during my "couponing days." I have just "taken" it and just dread when I do "have" to go in. I will go out of my way to go to "other" Albertsons just to get my deal. Well, I went in today with my four "doublers/twice the value" coupons and figured I would give 'em another chance. Well, guess what? They didn't disappoint. I walked right in with my little "assistant" in tow and wouldn't you know it, it was the SAME! I'm tellin' you it probably would have killed every single Albertsons' worker if they smiled! Don't get me wrong, there were a couple of the friendlier employees there, but I'm sorry the bad really outweighs the good. I usually just take it in stride and realize that I just need to go though this if I want me deal/freebies.

Well, today of all days, was NOT a good day to give me 'tude. I had had it! So, after going to a couple of stores I decided (since this has been going on for a year or so, for me) to call their 800 number. The girl that helped me was soooooooo very nice.

Let me tell you, just like I have shared with all of you, I try REALLY hard to coupon friendly. I really really try NOT to come off with an attitude. If I don't agree with something, I kindly will talk to them and ask questions and what not. I REALLY DO go out of my way so that they don't have to do very much "thinking." I will let someone who has less items than me go first. If I have free items (coupons for a free item), I put them up front and then I tell them the price, so they don't have to figure it out. I just do whatever I can to make the process easier for the cashier and so that the deal goes smooth. I consider myself a "friendly" couponer. Let me just say that I am  FIRM believer in Karma. I have experienced it WAYYYYY TOO MUCH (bad) that I KNOW there is such a thing. :) My motto is to kill them with kindness. :)

Anyway, I brought myself home today and called the 800 number. Like I said, the girl was really nice and said that she would send an e-mail out to the store and then the "general" manager would give me a call back. I REALLY hate (yes, I said hate) doing this, but I also feel that I don't need to be treated with 'tude either. I'm not doing anything wrong! I am "choosing" to spend my money/coupons in their store. They are still making money off of me. What would they do if all of us decided to go elsewhere? Um, I'm thinking that would hurt the pocket-book a bit much. Right? Well, then they need to start treating us better!

Okay, so "the girl' says that she will send this message out and he will contact me within 24 hours. I, then, say "well I don't expect much to happen. I'm just one person. What are they REALLY going to do about "my" complaint? (I wasn't trying to be rude, but really are they going to change things because one person called and complained?) She then proceeded to tell me how they take these calls VERY seriously and "something" will be done. Wow, okay.

Well, not even an hour later my telephone rings and it's "the manager" from my Albertsons. I let him have it. Poor guy. I did say I was sorry as I REALLY don't like to complain and I hate doing stuff like this, but I feel that they should know, especially after a year or so of having to deal with "the 'tudes." Okay, so I DID tell him that I will go out to Liberty Lake and do my shopping there as they are sooooo much nicer and want me to come in with my coupons. They even said they "welcome" my coupons. They want my money and my coupons. Really, that is what they have said. Well, so then he "my manager" said the same thing. Please please give us another chance. We will do better next time. I want your business. Yay! That is what "I" want too. So, I did proceed to tell him that I am a blogger and I have spoken with "many" people that feel the same way I do. And, that I have written a couple of bad posts about them. Yep, I was honest. I feel bad now, but I WAS honest. So, I did tell him that I would write up a good post and post it. So, here is my good post.

I feel it was very very nice of him to call me back and try to encourage me to come back. So, many thanks to him. I sure as heck wouldn't have wanted to call someone back if they were going to be complaining. :(

Okay, so amongst my conversation with him. He let out that there were going to be MORE doublers this coming weekend! Yay! Now, I haven't seen them, first-hand, but that is what he said to me. So, you might want to start planning accordingly. :) So, here's to having a better day and happier times couponing at Albertsons........
:)

Thanks!

Cheryl

Okay, so after

getting the pants scared off of me and rushing out of here at the last minute.

I had my whole day planned out with shopping and getting some good deals, and I still am going, but will not have that much time to get down here and post. I was going to get Faith off to school, then come back and work a little (and find some deals too). Then, I was going to do my treadmill for 15 minutes. After that, take my shower and get ready for the day, all the while getting Blakey his lunch ready, so we could head out the door. (I know I don't need to be sooooo detailed, but really this is how my day goes).

Okay, so, I get Faith off to school (late for us though. Like 4 minutes late). Okay, so I come back, call my husband (as I was a bit cranky this morning with him so I wanted to sweet talk him). Anyway, I have to interrupt myself here.....I just saw the sweetest thing.....I looked down at my desk and low and behold there is a note amongst all of my "stuff/junk," that is from my oldest son and it says......"I heart mom! I luv U! Have a great day mom." Is that not the sweetest thing or what? Now, I feel bad for being cranky with him too this morning.

Okay, so now back to my long, drawn out story. So, I am on the phone with my husband and the call waiting starts going off. I don't recognize the number, because it comes up as "unknown." So, I'm not gonna answer it, but "something" tells me I should. Sooooo, I answer the phone. IT'S MY DAUGHTER'S TEACHER!! She asks me if I am at the school. I tell her "no, I haven't even showered yet." (yes, I always share this much information with people) Then, she proceeds to tell me that Faith is getting student of the month for "Responsibility." So, I start panicking. I ask when they are going down to the gym. She tells me that they just called for her class to come down. What?! I am pretty sure that I used a WHOLE BUNCH of profanities in my panic, but she says I didn't. Phew! She says that she can go last, I say yah yah, PLEASE do. I will jump in the shower REAL fast and go in there looking like a "crazy" lady. I got to the school in within 20 minutes of talking to her AND I MADE IT (with like two minutes to spare), BUT I MADE IT!!!! My daughter didn't think I was going to be there. So, in the end it was well worth it, but now my routine is a little out of whack, so I am going to finish "getting ready" and head out. I hope to get down here and find some deals, although when I was looking this morning there was not much to be had yet. Hopefully, this will change as the day goes on.

I hope my story wasn't too long, I just wanted to share what another crazy morning it was around here. Another good thing came out of it though, I'M NOT CRANKY anymore, which, I think, my husband will appreciate. ;) Sorry, Ry.

Okay, so now we are off to the grocery store.......

Thanks!

Cheryl

$10 for purchasing $25 in advertised candy
(2) $1 from NYC color (makeup stuff)
(2) $1 from purchase of Samy

That is like a profit of $12.61!

Something I want to point out is that you CAN use two $5/$25 in one transaction just as long as you have a $50 order. I have never really wanted to go there, as I always thought it was too much work (and more money), but I knew that I was going to get a little overage from a few of the things here and I really wanted it to go towards my candy deal, so this is what I came up with. Not too shabby!

Okay, happy shopping!

Have a GREAT weekend and fun and safe Halloween.
