Update....Kindergarten
ANOTHER update: So, I called on Friday to get Blakey's birth certificate and ordered it by phone, right? Well, I got the birth certificate in the mail that VERY NEXT DAY! Wow, that was fast. Just wanted to give you a heads up and let you know that it did come FAST! :)
I just wanted to give you a quick heads up that I JUST did this a few minutes ago, over the phone, and it was SOOOOOOO easy. I had to give her my name, my child's name and spelling, my child's date of birth, the father's name, and my maiden name. Then, I had to give her my card number for her to charge the $20 fee and my mailing address. Easy peasy! She did say that it would be mailed out the next business day and that I COULD go down and pick it up. I said I would wait for it to come in the mail as I'M NOT going to drive my butt downtown. I DON'T like driving and to drive downtown is REAL scarey for me. Then, as we got off the phone, she said that she would get it out in today's mail! Yay! Then, I can get my baby registered next week, by the due date! Nothin' like waiting 'till the last minute, huh? Really, it took less than five minutes to do this and she was super nice. :)
I just wanted to take the time and either remind you or give you a heads up that it's that time, if you have a child getting ready to go into kindergarten.
You will need to have purchased, if you haven't already, their "real" birth certificate (for $20) AND you will have to have your child's immunizations up-to-date or the waiver signed if you do not believe in vaccinating your children.
Most registrations start up next month. I say most as mine is here in a couple of weeks.
There are a few ways, if you live here in Spokane, to go about getting/purchasing your child's birth certificate.
To order:
Online with a credit card: Click Here
By phone with a credit card: (509) 324-1524
By mail or in person:
1101 W. College Avenue
Spokane, WA, 99201
8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Orders placed in person normally take just a few minutes. A completed application must be received to process your request. Each copy of a birth or death certificate is $20, payable by cash, debit or credit card, or money order (payable to Spokane Regional Health District).
You can go on over here and get more info and download the sheet too.
Rite Aid Round-Up
Well, we went to Rite Aid this morning on the way to Weight Watchers. We were the first ones in the door. I had this great plan all mapped out. My husband was with me. I thought FOR SURE there would be lots of people there for the Johnson&Johnson stuff. So, we made a plan......We were gonna tag-team it, ya know? You go back and get the Pull-Ups, the Johnson&Johnson stuff, and Kleenexes, I tell him. Then, I will grab the other stuff that we need. We stuck to our plan of action. Okay, so now the nice cashier has just finished scanning all of my items and THEN scanned my Wellness card. Well, needless to say I was shakin' in my boots. Seriously, I had the shakes soooooo bad. I was SOOOOOO nervous as I did not break these into separate transactions and I picked up a few things that I was not sure if I was going to pick up or not (like the EXPENSIVE L'Oreal stuff). I usually go in with a plan and stick to it, unless they are out of something. I had thought long and hard about this, but I could not make up my mind. But, I went in and made my mind up and decided to GO FOR IT. I "warned" the cashier that I had a TON of coupons this morning and that I was REALLY nervous because I had a HUGE order. She was just so sweet and was so happy for me.
Okay, the rest of the coupons.....
-$5/25 from my Wellness account
-$2 bonus reward coupon from VV
-$67.50 in +UP Rewards! I SPENT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY +UP REWARDS!!! OUCH!!
Okay, so......my TOOP was.........$0.17!!!! Plus, $6.15 in tax. :( I SAVED......$151.58!!!! Plus, I got back a total of.......$62 in +UP Rewards. I reached the $100 limit for the Winter Rewards on my husband's card, so $20 of that was from that! I was quite happy as I spent every last one of my +UP Rewards and was curious as to how I was REALLY going to do. I think I did PRETTY DARN GOOD! Plus, I am going to submit for this $10 Rebate for the L'Oreal Stuff. And, submit for the $5 SCR from Rite Aid. So, I will be making some money on this one! :)
I am on a coupon high now.....:O

PetSmart =FREE Dog Food
I have not yet confirmed if this is available in the Spokane area, but I figured it was worth checking out, if you need some dog food or maybe pick some up and donate to your local shelter. They always need stuff like this. Anyway currently PetSmart has a pretty sweet President’s Day weekend sale, going on through Monday, 2/21. Apparently, ALL varieties of their 4 lb bags of Science Diet dog food are on sale for ONLY $5! To make this deal even better, there is supposed to be a $5 coupon available in the 1/9 SS. So you know what that means?!! FREE DOG FOOD!!!

AT&T iPhone 3G only $49
I was driving along this morning listening to the radio and I heard and ad that said that AT&T was offering up an iPhone 3G for only $49, while supplies last. Well, I have been toying with the idea of moving up in the cell phone world. I can't stand the phone I currently have and I need to upgrade and keep up with the Jones'. ;) No, I need to upgrade my phone for work and so I wanted to see about this deal too. Blakey and I walked our way into the store to find out the details and needless to say I walked right back out.
Oh, don't get me wrong it was a legit deal and sounded pretty good. I just couldn't upgrade yet. Not until August. Uggg.... So, the deal is if you are ready to renew your contract or even a new customer you can score this deal of an iPhone 3G for $49. And if you are not, well.....you're just sc$#wed. I'm kidding. Well, about the "bad word" part. Oh, you can still get a deal, it's just not as good, as the nice lady told me. You will ONLY have to pay $249! What?! Are you kidding me?! NO WAY!!! So, I proceded to tell her at that price I can wait until August. I'm not paying that much money just because I "want" one. No way!!! She was so very nice and patient with me, while I asked her a bunch of questions.
Don't get me wrong, I "think" this is a good deal, but ONLY if you are ready for a contract renewal or a new customer.
Oh, well....I guess it wasn't in the cards for me today. Maybe you will have better luck.

PineCone Research has Openings
YAY!!! Pinecone Research has open enrollment AGAIN! They have asked that I spread the word and let you all know. If you are interested in it, please let me know (e-mail me at frugal mom 1 @ live . com) and I can send you the link to signup.
If you are not familiar with Pinecone Research is a company that you do surveys for. Sometimes you even get free product to try. Anyway, you take their surveys and they pay you $3 for every survey that you complete. I usually get my check in less than a week after I complete my survey. They usually alert you, via e-mail, that there is a new survey for you to complete and they also let you know when the closing date is. So, if you don't have your survey completed by that date, then it is gone. Now, I know it is only $3, but hey, it is and easy $3. I have been saving up my $3 and then using them at garage sales and whatnot.
Anyway, if you are interested, please let me know and I can send you the link that you need. Email me at frugalmom1 at live dot com
Here is some info from one of my previous posts about this......
*This is from their Website......
PineCone Research is at the forefront of "online research", today's sophisticated and leading-edge approach to gathering consumer opinions. Consumer input is vital to the development of new and improved products.
Traditional survey methods, although effective, can be inconvenient and time consuming. Online research helps solve this dilemma. With online research, you can answer surveys from the comfort and convenience of your own PC and at a time that is convenient for you.
Why You?
As a PineCone Research panelist, you are part of an elite group that represents consumers nationwide. As such, your opinion is very important to manufacturers who count on people like yourself to help predict which product ideas are winners and which are losers.
Joining a new products panel like PineCone Research lets you voice the opinion of households that are similar to yours. You directly influence which products get developed and help ensure that these products meet consumer demands. Your opinion will have an impact on everything from product performance to style, varieties, features, pricing...you name it. Because you represent the target markets manufacturers are trying to reach, they put a lot of faith in what you have to say. We think you'll find the surveys fun and interesting.
It Pays To Join
Your opinion is always worth something to us. We are happy to pay you each time you evaluate a product. You can expect to be called upon to answer a survey once or twice a month.
We will notify you by email of upcoming product surveys.
You will be provided with a password which will enable you to access the survey at a designated website.
We will pay for completed product evaluation surveys.
Occasionally we may ship you a product to test.
Project evaluation surveys average 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
Occasionally we may ask other members of your household to complete a questionnaire if the product is more appropriate for someone in your household other than yourself.
From time to time we may send you a few questions regarding your household. These questions assist us in sending appropriate product surveys to you. For example, we may need households who are pet owners or households who do not have pets. Your voluntary participation in these questionnaires is extremely important.
Remember... you complete all product surveys from the comfort and convenience of your PC.
Okay, let me know.......

Kraft First Taste
Have you checked your Kraft First Taste accounts lately? I just checked mine this morning and there was a coupon in there waiting for me for FREE Philadelphia Cooking Cream! I have been reading on various blogs that people were finding these in their accounts lately, but I did have time to check and, like I said, I just checked mine this morning and had a coupon waiting for me. So, I logged in and did all that good stuff and it is now in the mail on its way to ME. Yay!
If you have no idea what I am talking about, Kraft First Taste is a program/site that you want to sign up for. Offer really, nice high-value coupons on new products or FREE item coupons on new Kraft products for you to try. Then, you have to do a short survey after you "purchase" your FREEBIE and let them know how you feel about the product. You do this and then you get invited to do more trials. It is a nice way to get some free food for you and your family to try. I love this program. I have received lots of freebie food this way for my family and I. They also have helpful hints and ideas regarding family, recipes, and just plain mom/adult talk.
Anyway, just go on over here to either sign in or sign up.
Thanks to all the bloggers, who put this out there, for the heads up.

New Coupon Booklet
Keep your eye out for this booklet. I found this at Albertsons the other day, on an endcap, in the Coke display. It wasn't a very big display. Anyway, it has $10 in manufacturer coupons. I took a picture of the booklet and of the coupons in the booklet, so you could see....
Okay, good luck! I hope you get one. :)

Dark angel or "good" angel?
So, amongst not feeling well this past week, the kiddos decided they were going to play "angels." Now, I hear that and I think...."oh no..." So, they are being REALLY good and nice and quiet. I know I should be checking, but.....I have ABSOLUTELY no energy to get up off of my bootae and see what is going on. Yes, I'm talking about Faith and Blake. This of course, was before he made her mad and she came out crying to me telling me that he is being mean to her. I tell her to not play with him if he is going to be mean. Then, in the far distance in the wonderful world of the WORLDS MESSIEST BEDROOM, he yells......"I MAY BE A JERK, BUT I'M NOT STUPID!!!!" LOL!! What?! I shared this with some family and friends earlier this weekend, but they have not heard to seen what I am about to show you.....So.....dark angel or "good" angel?....
Oh, AND a black eye! HE RAN INTO THE CUTTING BOARD!! :(
