What's a coupon database?
I get asked this question a lot. Have you seen this little blinking icon on the right-hand side of my blog....

Well, this is a searchable coupon database. You ask what a searchable coupon database is? Well, let me tell ya'. It's actually pretty cool. Let's say you are checking someone's blog out, maybe mine? And, you see that I (or whomever you may be checking out) has done matchup and you see this......
Pert Plus 3-in-1 Travel Size Shampoo $0.97 X6
-$1/1 Pert Plus 3-in-1 or 2-in-1 Products from 5/15 SS X6
=$0.18 overage!!! That is $0.03 overage for each one!
Let me tear this apart, a little, and explain what this means.....
1. It means that the travel size Pert Plus, 3-in-one shampoo cost $0.97 and I bought six of them.
2. I used six of the coupons that say it is for $1 off of 1 Pert-Plus, 3-in-1 or 2-in-1 products, from the May 15th Smart Source insert.
3. I got a total of $0.18 overage for my purchase.
Now, let's say you want to get in on this deal, but let's say that I did not put the date of when the coupon came in the insert and I did put which insert it came out of, so now you have no clue where to look. Well, then, you go on over here to the "searchable coupon database" ....

You will see this....
You see where it says "description?" Well you go and click in there and type what you are looking for. In this case, you would type Pert Plus, now it will pull up ALL the places that people have registered with weusecoupons.com of where coupons are located. It will give you links to printables, it will tell you if they found them on pealies, hangtags, which inserts and the dates, when they expire, etc. It really is a great tool when you are trying to locate a coupon. I did it for the Pert Plus, so you could see....
Look at what it pulled up when I just put "Betty Crocker" in.....
Go ahead, go on over here and play around with it. It really is a handy dandy little tool and does save a ton of time.
If for some reason you get lost and end up on the home page, you can go up here and click on "find coupons" and the coupon database will come up.....
I hope this helps you. I use it and I use it often.
Thanks WUC!

Kiddo Moment
This is soooooo funny! Well, I think it is....Remember a month or so ago when I shared a few of the letters that Faith had written me and her dad? Well, guess what? I got another one today. ☺ This little girl can get me soooooo frustrated at times, but dang she is soooooo CUTE!!! I JUST LOVE HER TO PIECES!!! ☺ When I do get upset with her I feel guilty because she IS so sweet. Anyway, we had ANOTHER tiff this morning. The weather is rainy and a little on the not-so-warm side today. Well, for her anyway. She is really thin and very petite, and she gets cold REALLY easy. Anyway, since it was rainy and whatnot I figured she could wear shorts today and some shoes with socks. Well, if Faith could have her way, she would wear a skirt or dress EVERYDAY. She is really really girlie and that is what she LOVES. Well, I suggested that she wear shorts today. Well, let me tell you.......my bad. How dare I suggest that she wear shorts?!!! She WANTS to wear a dress!!!! I told her my reasoning and she had a cow. So, she asked me if she could wear a dress that looks like a tennis-type, sporty dress thingy. So, I said yes and then I told her the shoes that she should wear with it. Well, she comes back down to me and says the dress is too big. I say, we can put a T-shirt underneath it and that would be fine. Well, now she doesn't want to wear the stinkin' dress. Apparently, I am irritating her at this point. So, then I tell her that I am not talking about it anymore with her and that she is to find some shorts and wear those. We keep going back and forth. I tell her that now I am irritated, so to just leave me be for a little bit. (I'm trying to work too). She decides to wear the blue dress after all now. Then, I tell her what shoes to put on. Well, the shoes at AT SCHOOL! WHAT?!! So, I let her know that I am still frustrated with her and that she needs to quit leaving her stuff at school (school is only in session one more week). So, after a little time passes by.....Oh, so anyway I am still frustrated and she leaves me be. I have to add that there was NO crying in this tiff, but here is the letter that I got.....
I will translate again.....(THIS IS SOOOOO CUTE, SWEET, AND FUNNY)
I am so so so so sorry for what I did. I will bring my PE shoes home today. I just want to say I am so sorry. Can I have a Crunch bar? I am crying so hard I just want to say I love you with all my heart and even in my soul.
She is sooooo dramatic, which I think is a girl thing, but she just cracks me up. So, she is so sorry and she's going to bring her PE shoes home today, oh, but while she's thinking about it she'd better ask if she can have a Nestle Crunch bar. REALLY? Oh, that REALLY makes me laugh!! This one (letter) REALLY is a keeper.
I love all my letters that she gives me. I can't wait to share them with her when she gets older.
Just thought I would share.....

Garden Season.....
Well, it's that time of the year again. I told myself that after my first garden experience last year that I would not start planting until June and that I would not start plants inside. Well, I stuck to both of those and now I feel like I'm behind the ball?? I don't think I really am, but who knows? I guess we will find out. My dad came up last week and and he tilled my garden area for us (thanks dad). Now, we are left to do the rest of the work on our own. Last year he helped us put the hoses in and put the plastic down, but he has been sooooo busy with his work that the rest was left to us, which is good because we need to learn how to do it on our own, right? My allergies have been really really really bad this year, so I have been slow, myself, in getting outside too. So, my husband said that he and the kids would get the hose laid in and then I could come out and help with the plastic.
After about an hour or two seeing that they had only one row of hose in, I couldn't handle it anymore and had to go help. Bless their hearts, they sure were trying, but I really needed to be out there. So, I went out and helped. My allergies still got me, but not nearly as bad as they would have last week.
So, we did it! We got the hoses in and put the plastic on top and now we are ready to plant. Well, we will be in a couple of days. After we do all of this, we have to leave the water on for two days to make sure that the ground gets saturated under the plastic, so the soil is ready for us to start planting. So, needless to say, we will be ready this week!
If you are new to reading about my garden (were not able to read last year), my dad has "connections" and is able to get us some AWESOME material that THE big farmers use over in the Columbia Basin area so we can have a successful garden with low maintenance. They are so generous to my dad and us (THANK YOU!!!). Anyway, there is a specific farmer that uses this material and throws some my dad's way to send our way. Isn't that just so nice? Anyway, this particular farmer uses this disposable hose type thingy. It looks like bicycle tire tubing on a wheel. So, we make a little trench type thing and then we take this tubing and measure it out (as long as we want our rows) (you can see it in the first picture above. It's that black "stuff" lying in the grass). Then, we just cut it with a knife or something sharp, tie in a knot at the end of the row, and hook it to this hose thingy that is NOT disposable, that my dad gave us. Then, we just throw some dirt on top of it and we are done with that row. Then, we take this BIG HUGE roll of black plastic, but it is not plastic. It almost looks like vinyl or something. It is lightweight stuff. Anyway, we take this and unroll it to the length that we want it, making sure that the hose that we laid is going to be in the center under the plastic. Again, we cut it with something sharp, and then we just make sure that there is no air underneath. Then, we start covering the edges with dirt and pack it a little. After we are done, we have to turn the water on for two days and make sure that the ground gets saturated under the "plastic." Then, we are ready to roll. Now the purpose of this hose and plastic......well, the hose, when we are ready to water we just turn the water on for a day or two and it will water my garden. I don't have to do ANYTHING just turn my water on and all the rows get watered from underneath, which apparently is better. Then, the plastic holds all the weeds out around my plants and keeps the warmth in the soil and they REALLY like that too. Now, I just need to figure out what to do about the weeds in between the rows. I think I'm going to try to figure out how to put some plastic in between the rows too? I dunno.
Anyway, last year I got a whole bunch of tomato plants at Big R when they had their BIG clearance, but I couldn't wait this year, BUT they still were the cheapest that I came across when pricing tomato plants and other vegetable plants too! Look at what we got.....

We bought quite a few tomato plants, some lettuce, brussel sprouts, celery, and some other stuff too! The price you ask? $1.29!!! Yes, I am very very pleased with the price! It was the cheapest I found. If you are interested, this was at the Big R on Trent and Vista! I'm ready to start plantin'.......
Do you have any garden tips?

**Reminder** Liberty Lake Yard Sale TOMORROW, 6/11
| Photo courtesy of the Splash! |
Ooooh, I can't tell you how EXCITED I am, just found out that the Liberty Lake Yard Sale is this weekend! I was just asking my husband, last night, if had had heard anything yet (he works in Liberty Lake, so he gets the scoop). Anyway, Frugal Chic Living, just shared that it is THIS weekend! Yay! Have you been to THE Liberty Lake Yard Sale yet? I went last year for the first time and got LOTs of stuff. It is soooooo fun. The kids had a blast. We just found one parking spot and walked through the neighborhood with our backpacks. Some people take wagons and other little doohickeys.
You ask, what is the Liberty Lake Yard Sale? Well.......It is a one day event where the Liberty Lake Community has yard sales throughout the city of Liberty Lake. I thought I read somewhere that so far there were 125 home listed to have yard sales this year. I could be wrong, but that just shows you how BIG this is. There are even venues setup to sell food and drink too.
So, this is Saturday, June 11th from 8 to 4. You just go out, find a parking spot, and start walking. Don't forget your money and a backpack or bag of some sort. You will find all kinds of goodies.
There will even be maps available here or even at their local service stations. You can go on over here to get more info.
Thanks Frugal Chic Living!

Look what came to my door today.....
Remember that Glidden paint giveaway that I told you about here? Well, I just wanted to show you what landed on my doorstep today.....
Yes, that there is my FREE quart of Glidden paint!
My goal here was to show you that it really does pay to put in for those freebies that we bloggers post about. Now, not all of them will make it to your doorstep for many different reasons, but there are some that do come through and it sure is nice when they do. We will be able to use this for different projects around the house and whatnot. It's not a lot of pain, but it's more paint than what I had of this color that I DON'T have to pay our hard earned money for it. I can use my money for something else. What does a quart of Glidden paint cost anyway? I'm thinking 10-bucks or so. That is a pretty good savings on my end.
**Oh, a tip for when you do sign up for freebies and samples, n' stuff like that is to setup a "free" email account just for these offers, so that your regular e-mail does not get clogged up with a ton of spam and unwanted emails.
Wow, thanks Glidden paint for this AWESOME freebie!

Still available=Two Fandango Movie Tickets for ONLY $9!
YAY!! This deal is STILL available. Hurry, so you don't miss out on it. :)
Update: So this deal was offered up sometime in March and I got in on the deal then. We JUST used our passes last night, 6/9, (my husband got a couple and I got a couple) and our family went to see the new X-Men movie yesterday. Well..... I slept through most of it as that is the common theme with myself and movies. I needed to rest up for Zumba class last night. :) Anyway, we surprised the kiddos and took them to the movies and they LOVED it. This is something that we RARELY do as I am not much of a movie goer and IT'S WAY TOO EXPENSIVE to take a family of five.
Anyway, the process was sooooo easy peasy. My husband and I talked it out and figured the kids would like this movie so, he went and got our codes from our Living Social accounts and input them into the Fandango system, printed out our passes, took them to the theater, gave them to the ticket person, where you pay, and then gave the other half to "the" ticket taker. Really, guys, it was so easy and convenient, not to mention FRUGAL!
Wow, it looks like they are offering this movie deal AGAIN. They offered this back in March and we got in
on the deal then and here it is AGAIN! Yay!. Anyway, currently LivingSocial (a daily deal site) is offering up TWO Fandango movie tickets for ONLY $9!
One question I keep getting asked is.....What movie is this too? Well, you don't have to have a specific movie picked out. Just buy the deal and it's like a gift certificate. You can pick your movie out later. Remember July is usually when the REALLY good movies come out. That's when we will probably be using ours. ☺
Here is the fine print....
Limit 1 purchase per customer only • Promo Codes are valid only for Internet purchases made at www.fandango.com and are not redeemable at theater box office, via Fandango’s telephone or mobile services or through any other website operated by third-party merchants • Cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion • Not valid on IMAX or 3D showings • Limited to tickets with maximum face value (including Fandango’s convenience fee of up to $2 per ticket) of $15 • Both tickets must be purchased for the same movie and show time in a single transaction • Promotional value of Promo Codes expire September 9, 2011. Paid value of Promo Codes expires on September 9, 2016, except where prohibited by law. • Promo Codes have no cash value unless required by law, and will not be replaced if lost or stolen, and are not for resale or commercial use • If a movie ticket (with Fandango’s convenience fee included) is more than the $15 maximum Promo Code value, the user must pay the difference with a valid credit or debit card • The redemption of Promo Codes is subject to Fandango’s terms and conditions at www.fandango.com/termsofuse.aspx and www.fandango.com/PurchasePolicy.aspx • Any questions regarding redemption of promo codes on Fandango.com should be directed to Fandango Customer Support at fandango.custhelp.com • Other conditions apply • Promotional value expires on September 9, 2011 The really cool thing is that if still have a $5 from previously signing up, you CAN use towards this deal and then ONLY PAY $4!! I WAS ABLE to use mine today towards this deal. That is AWESOME!! So, I ONLY PAID $4 FOR TWO MOVIE TICKETS!!! I'm not sure if they are still offering up a $5 for new sign-ups. If you do sign-up, will you let us know? We sure would appreciate it. :)
Just go on over here if you want to sign-up or sign-in and get in on the deal. Hurry before times up though. :)
Thanks Southern Cali Saver for the heads up on this!

Thanks Coupon Katarina for the heads up on these!
While I was there, I also came across these coupons too...
If this is really "new," then there should be some pretty good sales coming up on it. So, I would print it and put it in that nice stash of coupons you have to use when it DOES go on sale. :)
I don't really know what the prices of this lip stuff is at Walmart. Maybe we can pick up some pretty cheap lip stuff?
Thanks!
