Today,

is Thursday once again! So, that means that I will be off to school helping with the kids' classes. So, I will not be back in until early afternoon.

We also have family in from out of town and so we will be spending some time with them too. So, postings are going to be a bit on the thin side. Also, WE ARE GETTING READY FOR BLOOMSDAY!!!! Yeah, IT'S OUR FIRST ONE!!!! We have never been in shape enough to even try to do it, but this year we are taking the plunge. My brother-in-law (my husband's brother) and sister-in-law from Arizona have come to Spokane to walk our very first Bloomsday with us. We are so lucky to have such AWESOME family support in our weight loss journey. It has been AMAZING!!! I have to tell ya though, I AM VERY VERY NERVOUS. I really like to run, but will be walking this one as I just want to get through it in one piece. We are not even taking our little ones. I think that would be a bit too much for them and for us. We are, however, walking it with our 11-year-old. So, this will be a first for all three of us. My sister-in-law (my husband's sister) and her husband are also coming to town and will be helping my mother-in-law and my father-in-law watch all of our kids (my brother-in-law's little guy and my two little people). So, we will see.........

Anybody else doing Bloomsday? Any suggestions for us first timers? We would love to hear from you...
I will let you know how it turns out.

Visine With allergy season here, I just really wanted to take the time to thank you so much for making such a great OTC eye drop that I can use, and that is successful in taking my itch away and it takes the red away too! I swear by Visine AC and recommend it to anyone I know that has allergies. It WORKS!! Also, is way less expensive that the prescription brands of eyedrops. End of The Month So You Better Print Your Coupons

Recipe=Home Made BBQ Sauce

It tastes better than the real thing. Since being a Weight Watcher, I have had a hard time finding a BBQ sauce that tastes like the kind of BBQ that I am used too. You know, NICE AND SWEET, without all the added calories.

I did not make up this recipe myself, my 11-year-old chef (my son) came up with this and it is so so yummy.

3 Tablespoons of Splenda
1/4 cup of ketchup
3 Tablespoons of vinegar (he used white)
1 Tablespoon of worcestershire sauce

Mix together and cook over low heat for around 5 minutes or so, then IT'S DONE! This is really really yummy.

Anywhere between 3 and 6 servings and this is only 1 point.
Make it into 7 servings and it is free!

I did take the time to punch this into the recipe builder, so these points are confirmed. I am telling you, this BBQ sauce is really good and well worth the 0 to 1 point. It is sweet, so some of you may want to add a little less Splenda, just to give you a heads up.

**Reminder** Baskin Robins $0.31 Scoop Night Tonight 4/28

To help honor America's firefighters tomorrow 4/28 Baskin Robins is having their $0.31 Scoop Night. A scoop of ice cream for $0.31 plust tax! Yeah! The kids will like that. There is a limit of three scoops per person. Wow! Anyway, you may want to call ahead and see if your particular Baskin Robins is participating. This event takes place between 5 and 10 pm.
