Collin over at Hip2Save

has an AWESOME article. You should really go check it out when you have time. Here is the link. Apparently, this morning, there was an article that appeared in Yahoo’s Personal Finance section by Amy Fontinelle entitled “8 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Use Coupons.” This article really really is CraZy. I really really like Colin's answers to the "8 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Use Coupons." Go over and check her responses out when you have time. I think you will like it.

Cinnabon Cereal at Walmart=$1?

I am hearing that Walmart has their Cinnabon cereal marked down to just $2. So, if you use this coupon here for $1/1, it makes it just $1 a box. Plus, if you get the box that has "TRY ME FREE" on it, then you get a rebate for your purchase, making the cereal totally FREE! Of course, I have not verified that this sale is happening here in Spokane. Some of these sales usually vary by region.

Garden Update

I am so VERY VERY excited to share pictures of my garden with you all. If you are just now following along on the garden updates, this is our first garden EVER. We have had AWESOME help from both my mom and my dad, and great advice from others. So, here are some new pictures.....

This is a picture of the whole garden. Look at how big my cauliflower (bottom center) are getting.

Look! I HAVE CUCUMBERS!!! YAY!!! :)

Here are some zuchinis. :)

Awesome! Summer squash. I started these ones from seeds in the house.

Here are some general pictures of the squash/zuchini, radishes (I started from seed in ground), and onions that my neighbor gave me.

Corn is lookin' good too.

We just put cages on this weekend. We counted and we have.......26 tomato plants. Yep, I think I got a little ambitious. (Yes, mom, you were right).

Looky, looky, we have two, teeny, little tomatos. This picture is a bit blurry, but I still had to share. :)

Look at how tall our corn plants are.

You guys/gals I am sooooo excited about how our garden is growing. I know I was a bit jealous of our neighbor's garden, but not anymore. I am so very proud of ours. It seems to be doing really well, as far as I can tell. I have just been having a blast with it.

Are you growing a garden this year? How's your garden doing? I would love to hear. I'm sure there are lots of gardens out there really producing and just awesome. Maybe mine isn't as great as I think it is, but really to tell you the truth, I'M JUST GLAD I HAVEN'T KILLED IT YET. :) I have said before that I have NO GREEN THUMB AT ALL, so I am quite pleased so far.

Okay, thanks for taking a look, and please share some of garden stories. I would LOVE to hear them.

Thanks!

I'm Baack!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to give you all a heads up........Yep, I'm back. I had a GREAT time off with the family. Loved every moment of it. It was probably one of the BEST vacations ever and we didn't even really go anywhere. We just did stuff around Spokane. We did manage to go to my dad's house in Moses Lake and over to Monroe, Washington, to the Reptile Zoo over there. The kids had a blast. I also got stuff done in the garden. I have pictures that I will share in a little while. I am so proud of it. It is doing AWESOME!!! I even have a cucumber or two and a couple of "little" tomatos.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I'm back and I am gettin' to work, right now.......

Thanks!

ANOTHER Tylenol Recall!

Tylenol has announced ANOTHER recall!

This is from their website:.....

MCNEIL CONSUMER HEALTHCARE ANNOUNCES VOLUNTARY RECALL OF CERTAIN OVER-THE-COUNTER (OTC) PRODUCTS IN THE UNITED STATES, FIJI, GUATEMALA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, PUERTO RICO, TRINIDAD & TOBAGO, AND JAMAICA

FORT WASHINGTON, PA (July 8, 2010) – McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., is recalling 21 lots of over-the-counter medicines. The lots involved, listed below, are sold in the United States, Fiji, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, and Jamaica. This action is a follow-up to a product recall that McNeil Consumer Healthcare originally announced on January 15, 2010, which was initiated following consumer complaints of a musty or moldy odor, which has been linked to the presence of trace amounts of a chemical called 2,4,6-tribromoanisole (TBA). The risk of serious adverse medical events is remote. This recall is being conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

These lots are being added to the list of recalled products as a precautionary measure after a continuing internal review determined that some packaging materials used in the lots had been shipped and stored on the same type of wooden pallet that was tied to the presence of TBA in earlier recalled lots. All lots involved in the recall were produced before the January 15, 2010 recall, after which McNeil stopped accepting shipments of materials from its suppliers on that type of pallet.

Consumers who purchased product from the lots included in this recall should stop using the product and contact McNeil Consumer Healthcare for instructions on a refund or replacement. For these instructions, and information regarding how to return or dispose of the product, consumers should log on to the internet at http://www.mcneilproductrecall.com/ or call 1-888-222-6036 (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time, and Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time). Consumers who have medical concerns or questions should contact their healthcare provider.

Any adverse reactions may also be reported to the FDA’s MedWatch Program by fax at 1-800-FDA-0178, by mail at MedWatch, HF-2, FDA, 5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20852-9787, or on the MedWatch website at www.fda.gov/safety/medwatch/default.htm.

The product lot numbers for the recalled products can be found on the side of the bottle label.
