Target

I went to get the Soft Scrub deal with the gift card and they were all out. Just FYI....They did not have any. Oh, this was Target on Sprague and Evergreen.

Thanks!

Cheryl

Albertsons

Okay, so I didn't do as good today as I wanted to, but I do have a very very good excuse that I will share with you all in a minute. I do want to share that they have their Gillett Men's Shampoo on clearance, back in their clearance section 10 for $10. They also had a bunch of pads (I think they were Always Pads) and stuff. I cannot remember the price on the pads as I was getting ready to check, but was not able to do that......

Anyway, I should have walked out of there paying nothing, plus a little tax, but I didn't

I got....
(2) Gillette Men's Shampoo for $1 each=$2
(2) Scotch Brite pads $1.59 each=$3.18

I used
(2) $1/1 Gillette Shampoo from recent P&G insert
(2) $1/1 Scotch Brite coupons from here.

I saved $13.98 and spent $1.63.

Now, what I should have done was doubled my Scotch Brite coupons to get my sponges for free, but I didn't. I still had a savings of 92%! :)

Well, onto my adventure...... As I was getting ready to go back and check out the clearance pads at Albertsons. I was getting my cart adjusted to sit off to the side with my assistant (Blakey) inside of it. I always try to push it off to the side when I am back there because it is such a confined area and I always feel like I am in the way. Anyway, as we are getting ready, a man dressed in nicer clothes comes running past me and runs into the back, and a worker that is normally there when I shop there comes out with this strange look on his face. Well, as I see this man run past the doors, I notice that he has a gun and is reaching for it. Yep, you read me right! A GUN!!! I stood there is disbelief and said to the worker, as I hear shouting from behind the door, "What is going on?" He says, "I don't know." I say, "yeah you do, what is going on?" He says again, "really I don't know, but maybe we should leave this area?" Yeah, that is a GREAT idea. As I am walking up to the front, about ready to cry, as I have never been close to any kind of situation like this. I go up and put my stuff on the counter, just shaking a mile a minute, and I see them walk her out the front doors and she is in handcuffs. I didn't even bother doubling! Anyway one of the girls says that she was with a man that they were pulling over and when they pulled him over she took off into the store, I guess trying to get away or something. I kid you not, when I walked out of the store there were like 8 or 9 cop cars there! So, then the other crazy thing, as I start thinking about it, is that when she came in the store, SHE WALKED RIGHT PAST ME!! She caught my eye because she was walking rather quickly. I just thank God that nothing bad happened, at least for the other shoppers and us. I just keep thinking about all the "what ifs." Yes, I tend to over analyze, but I never experienced something like that before and to actually see a police officer reach for his gun. Okay, THAT WAS PRETTY CRAZY!!

Anyway, that is my story....

Thanks!

Shopko on Sprague

Yep, I was in there too.:)  I went in to get those pans that they have in their add that end up being $9-something after the $20 mail-in rebate ANNND I wanted to get some of those fold up camping chairs (not that I have ever been camping) for $6.88. Well, I took a look and their Easter stuff was at 75% off. Well, for you all, of course. :) They still had quite a bit. I think I will wait for their stuff to go 90% off. I dunno, I guess we'll see, it just may all sell out before they do that. Anybody know if Kmart is still at 50%. I didn't get a chance to get in their this morning. I had to get back to the school, so I did have to hurry.

Thanks!

Cheryl

Target

Target on Sprague has their Easter stuff at 75% off most of it, but was also still 50% off on the big plush toys and some candy. Some of the stuff in the "Dollar Spot" is 50% off too.

** Just spoke with my friend, Tammy. She said that she was actualy in Target after me and that the plush toys ARE 75% off.

They also had their Dove Men's Body Wash on clearance for $1.98. That would go really good with a coupon. I used a coupon that I got in the mail from Dove for $1.50 off. There are also $1/1 coupon in the 3/28 RP or $1 in the April All You.

Suave Hair Conditioner on clearance for $0.97 each X2.
I used two coupons that I got from e-mailing a part of Unilever for $0.50 off of oneX2.

Oh, they had big bottles of Pantene on clearance for $4-something. I cannot remember. So, if you used your $1 coupon from the recent P&G insert, that would make the shampoo $3-something. More than what I wanted to pay, but still a pretty good deal (I think?).

Thanks!

Cheryl

FYI,

today is the day that I get to help out with my kids' classrooms at school. So, I will be out for most of the morning. I will be back later.

Thanks!

Cheryl

Recipe=Frosting or Fruit Dip

Okay, here is the frosting that I used for my pound cake. You can also use it as a fruit dip. I bet the kids would really really like it.

(1) 8 ounce tub of fat-free Cool Whip thawed
(2) 6 ounce containers of Weight Watcher yogurt (I bet you could even use Fiber-One Yogurt)

Instructions:
Mix the ingredients together and refrigerate.

I frosted my cake with this and it was really really good.

**I got this recipe from the WW chat boards years ago. So, I did not make this up on my own.

They have the points value at 0 points for 2 Tablespoons. Makes 31 servings in total. She also notes that it is 0 points for 4 Tablespoons or less. I would have to double check on that one. I'm not sure about that.

Okay, happy baking! :)

Cheryl

Recipe=Strawberry Pound Cake

I made this for dessert on Easter as a lower cal/lower sugar dessert for my father-in-law (he's diabetic) and us Weight Watchers and it was real yummy. My kids even liked it.

1/2 cup DaVinci fruit flavored sugar-free syrup (I used strawberry)
1 cup of water
1 Pillsbury Angel Food Cake Mix

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Follow Box directions, but substitute 1/2 cup with the sugar-free syrup. Pour batter in ungreased 9X12 pan and bake for about 22 to 25 minutes. Let cool completely and then run a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen. Cut into 12 PIECES (those make for some pretty good sized pieces). Each serving will be about 1X3 inches.

**I got this recipe from the WW chat boards a long-time ago. They have this calculated at 3 points per serving. She also says that if you cut the cake nito 15 pieces that it would only be 2 points per serving.

Thank you!
