Groupon Deal of The Day for Spokane

Wow, another great deal from Groupon for Spokane. Here's the deal.....$3 for Family Admission (Two Adults and Any Children Under 16) to the Museum of North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene ($7 Value)

Here is the info from the website...

Sight, the workhorse of the five senses, puts in too many hours keeping man from falling in manholes. Give the most overworked sense a vacation with today's Groupon: for $3, you get a family admission pass to the Museum of North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene (a $7 value). This pass includes admission for two adults and any children under 16 years old. The museum is open seasonally from April 1 to October 31 (the expiration date of this Groupon) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Exhibits at the Museum of North Idaho explore the historical significance of the Coeur d'Alene region, touching on topics including logging, farming, and the Playland Pier Amusement Park. The museum's 2010 feature exhibit showcases the history of the settlement of the area by Scandinavians, as well as their contributions to sawmills, community development, and the region’s abundant forests of assemble-it-yourself furniture. See a replica of a 1932 Forest Service lookout or spelunk deeper into the cavernous history of Coeur d'Alene during a 20-minute video highlighting the history of the area. An exhibit on the Coeur d’Alene tribe highlights how the Shoshone Native Americans taught the Coeur d'Alenes to ride horseback in 1760 as a way of wooing suitors at the local shopping mall.

Today's Groupon also gets museum maniacs access to the nearby Fort Sherman Museum, which includes the Fort Sherman Chapel—the oldest church, school, library, and meeting hall in the region, built in 1880 just before President Rutherford B. Hayes’s third motorcycle jump. Learn the rich history of the region while fostering family togetherness with a visit to the Museum of North Idaho.

Any additional adults and/or children over 16 are $3 each.

Thanks!

Frugal Good Time

BEN'S YOGURT-N-DELI (location is 9119 E. Braodway, Suite B. His phone number is 893-8050. His hours are Monday-Saurday, 10-9, and Sunday 11-8. He also has delivery available from 12 pm to 3 pm)

Are you in the mood for a "frugal" good time? Are you watching your calorie/fat intake? Do you have a sweet tooth? DO YOU LIKE ICE CREAM?!!! Well, I have JUST the PERFECT place to go AND it's afordable too. I don't know about you, but since I am always "watching" my calorie intake (the Weight Watcher in me) I usually find myself in situations where a few of us go out for ice cream and I do not include myself in the festivities of eating because the calorie/fat intake is too high for me, and I choose not to use my points on it. Well, I'm tellin' you have the PERFECT place.

Have you heard of Ben's Yogurt-n-Deli, out here in the Valley? He has only been open for a month or so, but if you haven't been to Ben's, I'm tellin' ya "get your bootay in that car and go on over." You are missing out! For the yogurt part, here are a few of the details......

It is all frozen yogurt.....
~It is self-serve.
~You can choose from a variety of flavors.
~Depending on the frozen yogurt you choose, there is low-fat (they might all be low-fat), non-fat, and SUGAR-FREE!
~His menu says "Yogurt flavors rotate, please as for flavors of the day." (I had peanut brickle yesterday and it was SOOOOOOOO good).
~You have different sizes to choose from (you can even sample the flavors to see which one you would like the best).
~After you are done choosing your flavor of yogurt, you can put your own toppings on. He has fruit (I saw..mango, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and even kiwi). He also has a couple of syrups (I think caramel and choloate). Then, he has different candies and nuts you can choose from for toppings, if you choose.

So, you wanna know the price? He charges by the ounce. It is only $0.40 an ounce! A special promo that he is running right now is even better. If you go on Sunday, it is only $0.30 an ounce. Are you kidding me?! Wow, what a deal! You can get whatever you want...if you just want yogurt, then just get yogurt. If you just want fruit, then get fruit. If you just want candy and nut toppings, then just get candy and nut toppings. Whatever you choose, you only pay the $0.30 or $0.40.

My family and I went yesterday and we were very pleased. The environment is VERY comfortable and the prices are great. I HIGHLY recommend you check it out. You will not be dissappointed. The cost for ALL us in my family (there are five of us) was $10 and some change! You can't beat that for going out for "ice cream." I figured my serving of yogurt was ONLY 2 points! I CAN DEFINITELY DEAL WITH THAT! I am going back......

For the deli part, he has....
~Build your own sandwiches
~Grilled Sandwiches
~Specialty Sandwiches
~Paninis
~Wraps
~Salads
~Soup-n-Salad

**Of note, these are my own opinions. I am not being paid to say this. I just really really liked the place.

Thanks!

Please let me know what you think, if you go check it out!

Spokane's Groupon Deal of The Day

Today's Groupon deal for Spokane is.....$45 for $90 Worth of Massage or Facial Services at Urbanna Natural Spa & Salon

It looks like the deal is on! Wow, that seems like a pretty good deal. Here is a little info from the website.....

Booking your body double a beautifying treatment at a tranquil day spa creates a soundproof alibi for days spent stealing office supplies from the National Guard. Make your stand-in stand out and replace your tape with bazooka putty with today’s Groupon: for $45, you get $90 toward massage or facial services at Urbanna Natural Spa & Salon, a tranquil, loungelike spa in the historic Pine Creek Creamery building. Today's Groupon is limited to 1 per person, but you may also buy 1 additional as a gift in honor of Friendship Day.

Urbanna Natural Spa & Salon's licensed massage therapists and experienced aestheticians put their talents to the test during skillful muscle and mug re-mastering sessions. Sink into a sumptuous massage chair as a professional lures stress from the ledge of your shoulders with careful pressure and spoonfuls of Ben & Jerry's. Urbanna offers a wide variety of massage techniques, including classics such as Swedish and deep tissue, and creative styles such as the mojito, which relaxes muscles and tingles the skin’s surface, and the desert stone, which enlists the help of luxurious oils and smooth, heated stones. Massages are offered in 30-, 60-, and 90-minute sessions (prices start at $50 for 30 minutes and vary by type).
If your tension is trapped near the face, opt for a specialty facial. The Mystical nature facial is customized to restore balance, energy, and glow to each client's unique skin ($90 for 75 minutes), and the Nirvana express facial expels grime from pores faster than pores can learn to spell grime ($45). Like the beauty abode's title suggests, natural and organic products are used during all services.
Urbanna Natural Spa & Salon's eclectic, freshly renovated interior is dressed in rich, handsome hues and modern fixtures, making for a true spa escape. Housed in a historic brick building, each treatment room is infused with the flair of a different continent, so you can globe trot without needing vaccines.
Valid only toward massage and facials. By appointment only.
