So, amongst not feeling well this past week, the kiddos decided they were going to play "angels." Now, I hear that and I think...."oh no..." So, they are being REALLY good and nice and quiet. I know I should be checking, but.....I have ABSOLUTELY no energy to get up off of my bootae and see what is going on. Yes, I'm talking about Faith and Blake. This of course, was before he made her mad and she came out crying to me telling me that he is being mean to her. I tell her to not play with him if he is going to be mean. Then, in the far distance in the wonderful world of the WORLDS MESSIEST BEDROOM, he yells......"I MAY BE A JERK, BUT I'M NOT STUPID!!!!" LOL!! What?! I shared this with some family and friends earlier this weekend, but they have not heard to seen what I am about to show you.....So.....dark angel or "good" angel?....
Oh, AND a black eye! HE RAN INTO THE CUTTING BOARD!! :(

Time to Dust Off Those Running/Walking Shoes
Remember how I told you that my goal this year was to run the WHOLE 5K at once, with NO walking. Well, they have finally released the date for sure, the cost, and the registration form. I have done this the past two years. This will be my third year. This was my VERY FIRST 5K EVER and I will continue to do it EVERY year, as long as I am able.
This fun run really is FUN. Let me start off by saying that it is sponsored by The Arc of Spokane, so there are a few "runners/walkers" that have disabilities, even people in wheelchairs. I point this out to show that it does not matter your physical shape or capability, this run is for EVERYONE! Last year we did it as a family for the first time and even had our uncle who has cerebral palsy do it with us. He was a bit pooped at the end, but he finished and it was soooo much fun for him. It was GREAT family fun. This year I will be "running" the whole thing so I'm not sure my family will join me this year, but we'll see, maybe they will just stick together. I dunno.
Any of you want to do this with me? You can bring your family too, EVEN if we don't stick together. Anyway, you can head on over here to get the registration form. Here is a bit of info, just to get you thinking.....
DATE: Saturday, April 16, 2011
TIME: Check-in at 8:15 a.m.; the race begins at 9:00 a.m. sharp
LOCATION: CenterPlace
2426 N. Discovery Pl.
Spokane Valley
ENTRY FEES
INDIVIDUALS
Individual (includes T-shirt) $14
Individual without T-shirt $10
TEAMS (maximum team limit: 10 people)
Team Captain $50 (includes 1 T-shirt)
Team Member with T-shirt $7
Team Member without T-shirt FREE!
Children under 5 FREE!
Okay, there's something for you to think about.
I hope to see you there!

This is a SWEET deal! I actually saw this deal yesterday, but I wanted to do a little more research on it as I wasn't too familiar with it. I have done lots of research and it REALLY does seem legit and a REALLY cool incentive to get some activity in! Now, there is only a limited quantity. They actually had to close the deal yesterday, but it reached its limit, but then they secured some more vouchers and the deal is back on! Yay! I just placed ANOTHER order today, but was much smarter than yesterday. Here's the deal.....Then, I'll tell you what I did this morning to make it even MORE frugal.....

Why this deal is so sweet:
Successful fitness programs are all about motivation—and what better way to stay motivated than getting rewarded for daily exercise? Strap the stylish S2H REPLAY onto your wrist, get moving, and earn a Reward Code for every 60 minutes of running, walking, aerobics, or any physical activity. The codes translate into points that can be redeemed for gift cards from Target, Toys R Us, Borders, Best Buy, Game Stop, and dozens of other popular stores and vendors. Great for busy moms, kids, teens, and anyone who wants to get fit and earn accolades!
About the company:
The S2H REPLAY is a product of Switch2Health (S2H), a fitness-minded company committed to promoting healthier, more active lifestyles and fighting the obesity epidemic. On their website, S2H.COM, consumers can redeem rewards for physical activity and engage with a supportive online community.
Okay, so you will need to go on over here to get started. If you don't have an account, then go over here and get yourself signed up. Then, after you are signed up, in the top right-hand corner, in red, where it says credit, it should say $5. Yah, you get a $5 credit if you are new to Mamapedia!
Then, you need to click on the big button that says "BUY NOW."
It will then take you to the payment page.
Next, (you can purchase up to three of these Activity Trackers). So, you need to enter your quantity. I just did one.
Then, you can choose to use your $5! So, if you do, then click on "Apply credit." (or something like that)
You will have to enter your billing info and all of that, BUT if you use your credit then you ONLY PAY 5-BUCKS!!!
I paid $10 yesterday. STILL not a bad deal. Then, I got up this morning and did it AGAIN! This time, I setup an account for my hubby, which I am sure he will appreciate. ;)
Next, you will have to wait for them to send you your confirmation, then you can go and apply your code to your purchase, which I did this morning. So, the Activity tracker is $19.95 and the voucher is for $20. So, they applied my $0.05 towards shipping, which, I think, is pretty cool.
There are so many gift cards to choose from. I can't wait to get MINE.
Good luck and I hope like it too!

Recipe-Homemade Popcorn
Well, I was checking out Hip2Save just a second ago and she had her version of homemade popcorn, and it made me think of what I do, when I make my own at home.
Many of you know that I am a Weight Watcher and have been for almost 5 years, hence the reason why I am struggling these past two years. I was a PERFECT Weight Watcher before and now I am not so. I struggle BIG TIME now. Anyway, as a Weight Watcher or ANYONE who likes popcorn, this is great and "frugal." Here is what I do....
1 brown paper bag (you know, the kind that you would send a lunch in)
3 staples or 1 piece of tape
1/4 cup of popcorn (I buy my popcorn at Winco for like $0.38 a pound)
Pour your popcorn into the bag. Fold the top of the bag over two times, about 1/4 fold. Then, either staple it three times (one on each edge) OR tape it shut (about 2 inch long tape). Then, put it in the microwave for a good 2 minutes and 40 seconds or so. You will have to listen for the pop, as each microwave is different.
When it starts getting longer in between the pops, then it is time to pull it out. Viola, your homemade, mini bag of popcorn is done. Now, you can season it and do whatever you want to it.
This is how I do MY popcorn at home. This is especially good for those of you trying to watch your sodium intake. You actually have control of what is going on your popcorn.
I count this as 1 point. I also either use my "good" oil for the day for this. So, two teaspoons of Canola oil, then some spray butter and Kernal Seasonings. YUMM!!! You can even use Pam for some spray.
Anyway, this is how the popcorn is made in our house, unless we are making a whole bunch. It is really really convenient and super easy.
By the way, no flying sparks when using the staples. This is the way I did it for a longtime before I ran out of staples. :) Now, I just use tape.
Enjoy!

I am not.....
100% yet, but I am missing you all and feeling really guilty that I have not been posting, so I wanted to get on here and see if we could find anything.
I still have "the crud" as Leah, from The Coupon Posse' put it. I have been battling with my asthma a bit, but I am hoping that I don't have to go to the doc. So, keep your fingers crossed.
Anyway, "they" say you have to feel a cold right? Well, let me tell you that I will NOT be weighing in this weekend, as I think I overfed mine. :( I REALLY didn't care and I binged AGAIN! I CAN'T BELIEVE MYSELF!!!!! AGAIN!!!! REALLY??!!!!!
Anyway, I'm pseudo on track, although I just had a Fudge Shoppe Jumbo Peanut Butter stick. It WAS good. No more though.
Anyway, I'm off to see about finding us some deals......
Cheryl
P.S. Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I hope you all had a happy Valentines day. I think my kiddos did. :)

Hey everyone.....
I am REALLY sick over here. It is taking EVERYTHING in me to stay awake to try to get my regular work done this morning. Deadlines ya know? I'm supposed to bake cookies for Faith's Valentine's Day party, but I don't think I'm even gonna do that. Luckily, I have some store-bought cookies (Keebler) on-hand that I think I am going to send with her. I have battling this "cold" thing for six days and it REALLY does seem to be getting worse than better. I do tend to scare myself a little as I have asthma and so I get scared that things like this are going to affect my asthma, which would not be good. There's nothing like feeling like you can't breathe. :(
Anyway, I am going to try to finish up my work, get the kiddos ready for school, get Faith to school, and Blakey willing, GO back to sleep. I do want to go shopping, but I just might keep my butt home this morning. (I wanna see what Target has for ya'll). I dunno, we'll see.....
Okay, I will talk to you all later.
Thanks for your patience. :)
