Purex Deal at Fred Meyer

Well, apparently there is a big controversy about the Cat and the sale price at Fred Meyer. I just read today on The Krazy Coupon Lady that Fred Meyer has pulled their Catalina deal, as some people were buying or using coupons to get free product and then turning around and selling them for profit. Apparently, people have been buying it in mass quantities and clearing the shelves. So, just be aware that the Cat might not work anymore. I have not confirmed that, but from what people are commenting, it sounds like they have spoken with "the Kroger" people and this is what they were told.

Even without any coupons this is like getting free detergent!

I searched Hot Coupon World & it looks like this catalina doesn't end until March 7th, so if your Fred Meyer is out - be sure to get a rain check!

She was able to buy the Free & Clear and roll the catalina (you'll need to add a filler item to your second transaction as it is not quite $4.00). However, when I bought the blue bottle (see picture) I did NOT receive a catalina.

Also, for some reason the catalina beeps when you use it. She read the catalina and the only exclusions are "Rx and items prohibited by law" - my Kikkoman catalina also beeped, so I'm thinking it's just a problem with all of these catalinas. Your cashier should be able to push it through (as long as your total is $4.00 or more).

Me (Cheryl) talking now~I did this yesterday and it worked for me. The only problem I had was that the cashier would NOT let me roll my Catalina because it "beeped." She said that I would have to come back tomorrow. So my suggestion, as it has been such a hit and miss for most people, is to do one transaction and then take them out to your car and come back in and do it again with a different cashier. Also, I did what has been suggested and only purchased the Free and Clear 50 ounce bottle and I got the Catalina.

Okay, good luck!! Oh, also, if your Fred Meyer is out, don't forget to get a raincheck as the Catalina is said to run through March. I also heard that there is supposed to be a B1G1 free in the inserts this weekend. Don't know if this is going to be in our area, but it would help if it were.
