Community Fun Run

I know I am posting this a bit late, but wanted those of you, here in Spokane, to know that there is a Community Fun Run put on by The Arc of Spokane...

When:  Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 9:00 am
Check-in begins at 8:15 am
Where: Center Place, 2426 North Discovery Place, Spokane Valley

The fee is $14 with a T-shirt per individual. Children under 5 are free. There is also an option to register a team for even more money.

The problem is that you have ot register by March 19th (that is two days from now). Go on over here to their website and you can pay online, but send your registration form snail mail.

I did this last year as my very first 5k and it got me hooked. I am going to do it again this year and this time I am taking my kiddos and husband with me. I don't think that I will be my time last year (as I will have a few anchors), but this time it will be a family event. I am soooooo excited. I can't wait!

New Recipe=Undone Stuffed Pepper Casserole

Here is a picture of what I made last night. I always think about taking a picture when it is too late. This time I remembered. I did add sour cream to my casserole.  Look at what I ate for 7 points=3 points for the Ranch on my salad and 4 points for the casserole....

I got this from the new Krafts Foods Friends&Family Magazine that I just got in the mail yesterday. I made a few changes to work with my Weight Watcher lifestyle. If you would like the original, please e-mail and I will get it to you.

Anyway.....

1 lb ground beef
2 green peppers chopped up
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups of cooked bulgur
1 jar of spaghetti sauce (I used Hunt's as it is free in points per serving)
1/2 cup of shredded FF cheddar cheese

Heat oven to 350º. Brown meat with peppers and garlic in large skillet, drain. Stir in bulgar, spaghetti sauce, and 1/4 cup of cheese. Spoon into 2-qt casserole; top with remaining cheese. Bake 25 minutes.

Then, it is done! I calculated this in the WW Recipe Builder and it came back at 4 points. It makes 7 servings!

House Party-DiGiorno Pizza Party

Anybody hear about the House Party Program, the one for DiGiorno? Well, they have "parties" every so often with showcasing certain products. The one that I happened to sign up for was the DiGiorno. Well, guess what? I was approved to host a party. There is no catch, except for I believe I have to do a survey or something after I host my party. Yes, I even got a really cool DiGiorno apron that my older son (not the one pictured here) is in love with, not this little guy. This one here is my assistant shopper/model (Blakey). Doesn't he look soooo cute?

So, anyway, I know some of you are probably wondering why I would be hosting a DiGiorno Party if I am a WW. Well, let me explain....We are actually going to use this party to celebrate my older son's 11th birthday. Talk about feeding guests the "frugal" way. I will not have to pay for food. Plus, I will be able to make these pizzas and serve these pizzas without even taking a bite. I promise!

Target Deal I posted Earlier

You remember? The one about really cheap shampoo? Well.................it is a no go at "my" Target. I was sooooo excited to go and get some CHEAP shampoo, but the only kind they had was the really big bottles for $4.99. That, to me, was not a bargain. That is too much for me. That would still be $1.99, which I guess is a good buy for a big bottle, but more than I wanted to put out of my pocket. They did, however, have the Rimmel Mascara that I have the $3 coupon for. It is priced at $2.24. So, I grabbed a filler and paid $0.52 OOP. The only problem with that is that I grabbed the last one. The reason why I'm sharing this with you is that I was just in there the other day and everytime I am in there they are out of the mascara. So, my point here is just to check back often, if you can. Or, take your coupon and go to Walgreen's this week and pay $0.50 for your mascara. If you have the coupon out of the All You Magazine, it expires on the 31st.
