My Husband Makes Me Proud....

Okay, so he did the Safeway trip today, while he was there he found this.......

Yes, he was in meat clearance heaven! He was so proud of himself. I am too! This would have cost $72.15! HE PAID $30.36!!! Way to go!!! HE SAVED $41.79!! AND, not only that, he put it all on a separate transaction from the one that I had all setup for him. He knows that I like to see my savings and whatnot. I am kind of anal that way, when it comes to couponing. Gosh, it is so nice to have a partner in crime in couponing. I love that he gets into this as much as I do, even if he doesn't admit it out loud.......

Anyway, I just wanted to share how proud I am of my sweet sweet hubby. I thought he did pretty darn good.

Thanks!

Cheryl

Another Shopping Trip

Yes, I am addicted to great savings right now. My husband actually helped me out a little on these deals. Here is a picture of what we bought today......

This here is from three different stores:  Walmart, Target, and Safeway (yes, we hit Safeway up AGAIN). All of this would have cost $115.33, but WE PAID $12.36. WE SAVED $102.97.

***Oh, I have a little disclaimer.....I didn't realize I put the Stridex Pads in the picture. Actually, these did not count towards my purchase or savings. This was something totally different, but by the time I am posting this, I already put everything away and did not want to take another picture. So, if we can just kinda look past those Stridex pads. Sorry guys. I'm just gonna highlight a couple of things about the trips as I posted most of the scenarios earlier this week on my other postings.

Target =Total Saved was $60.40. Total spent was $3.97
The Olay Body was was FINALLY on price cut or something like that for $4.74. I used my $4/1 from the last P&G insert, making them only $0.74 each. I was able to use a B1G1 Ivory Soap coupon with that as well.

Walmart (HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I have never experienced such BAD customer service there. It was so bad that I really feel like that person, who I'm sure needs a job, needs a different job). Anyway.....Total saved was $4.80. Total spent was $3.10

They had their ketchup for $0.84. I used my coupon from recent insert for $0.20 (5/16 SS).

Walgreens=Total saved was $12. Total spent was $2.46.
Reach toothbrushes $0.99 each. I had three $2/2 for my toothbrushes. Oh, I couldn't find that gum at Walmart, but found it at Walgreens for, after coupon, $0.29 each. This was in last week's SS.

Any questions? Just let me know.

Thanks!

Couponer Tip/Info

So, while I was in at Safeway last night I got to talking with a couple of the supervisors. I had went up to them to thank them again for being so good to me when I come in with all my coupons. It is really good that we try to make it a point to recognize a store when they treat us so well, so we can all continue to coupon with a little more ease and they can continue to accept them with a little more ease. So, we are all happy. :) Do you do this? I really try to make it a point to do this every once in a while. It REALLY helps! A couple of things that we had talked about was just that. I had said that I really wanted to thank them for being so good to me when I come in with all of my coupons and that I REALLY appreciated it. Later in the conversation they had said "thank you. It is really nice to hear that you recognize that and that you said something, 'cause a lot of the times all we hear is about the bad stuff that we do. So, it is really nice to hear nice things too." So, I just thought I would share that little tidbit with you.

Okay, so one of the other things we talked about was their "new" coupon policy. They are REALLY excited about it, for us couponers. They did confirm that they will take a RR from Walgreens. I was kind of unsure about this since Walgreens is a pharmacy/department store, but yes they confirmed that "as long as it says manufacturer coupon on it, it is NOT expired, and it scans, we CAN take it." Wahoo!! I'm excited about this one.

Okay, so one of the other things we talked about was "doubling of coupons." This is what they said. "We can now double coupons." I say, "how?" They say, "if you buy a candybar for $1 and you have TWO manufacturer coupons for $0.50, you CAN USE them both." I said "no way." They say, "yes, you can. We are doing it and the Seattle region is now doing it too. We have been given the okay." They say, "the only thing we can't do is give you money back. So, you buy that candybar for $1 and you have a manufacturer coupon for $0.60 and another manufacturer coupon for $0.50, that will not work because I am giving you money back." I didn't ask about adjusting them down. I'm sure they probably can. I am also not too sure about using two paper "manufacturer" coupons for one item. I just feel really weird about that, but I guess if I stop and think about it, this coincides well with the E-coupons.

THANKS SAFEWAY!

Just thought I would share the information I was given last night. Yeah for us couponers!

Thanks!

Cheryl

Safeway......

Okay, so I went out AGAIN last night and did some more shopping. Yes, I went on over to Safeway. Boy, I'm sure glad I did. I am so excited to share my savings with you that my fingers are shaking as I type this up. Wanna see a picture? Well, here it is...................

Guess how much I paid?! Any takers?.......................I PAID A WHOPPING $0.06.  YES, $0.06!!! Ready for this?..........I SAVED $66.29!!!! WHAAAAHOOOOOO!!!! I know that there are others who have done better, but I just feel really good about this one.

I am not going to do the full breakdown. Unless you would like it. If you would let me know, but here are the sources of my coupons.

Free product coupons from Kraft First Taste.
Ken's Dressing (I believe it was the 5/9 SS) $1/1
Kleenex $1/2 from booklet at Safeway
Kleenex in-ad coupon for a $0.79 Kleenex, limit 1 (stacked with the coupon from line above). They are on sale right now for 10 for $10.
Coupons.com (This is where I got the coupons for Fiber One Yogurt, Yo-Plus, Yoplait True Delights Yogurt, Chex snack mix, Warm delights, Bisquick, Wheaties Fuel).

So, some of you might be wondering what I am doing with a bunch of yogurt. Yes, we are going to consume all that yogurt. I have reallyfound that I like putting it in the freezer to make with my WW smoothies. Yum! So, now I am stocked up for a while. We will donate some of the other stuff that we do not normally consume.

Thanks!

Cheryl
