Donate a Teddy Bear to YOUR Local Ronald McDonald House

Or, as in our case, it is the local McRon House (that is what my little one calls it). Go over here to La-Z-Boy's Facebook page, like them, and then enter your zip code, and then you can pick which Ronald McDonald House you want your bear donated to. This is a GREAT way to bring a smile to some little person's face during a time of need.

Whenever we donate our excess stockpile, this is where we donate. They are so grateful and so very nice, and have been there for MANY families in need.

Anyway, when you get a chance go "like" them and donate a little teady bear. I JUST donated mine!

Thanks Chi-Town Cheapskate!

FREE $10 Gift Card At Sports Authority

Wow, check this out. This is a great deal!...

Sports Authority is hosting "Pass The Good." They are hosting a collection of football equipment for underprivileged kids. When you make a donation, they will give you a $10 cash card. This CAN be USED equipment. So, you can donate your outgrown equipment, i.e.,old jerseys, gloves, cleats, and anything else that may be football related.

This would be a GREAT way to "get rid" of some of your older stuff that maybe does not fit, do some good for the community, AND get a FREE $10 gift card while your at it! :)

Just go on over here for more of the details and to see if your local Sports Authority is participating.

Thanks Mojo Savings!

*Repost* Are you lookin' for a way to give back?

Just a reminder, if you are interested, that The Coupon Posse' is holding their food drive today. See below for details:

Well, I would like to share with you a suggestion I may have. The Coupon Posse is hosting a "Give Back" Event this week.

Here is a bit of the back story first.....(This is from their site).....

I am going to share a very personal story with The Coupon Posse' readers. This is a little out of my comfort zone, but I thought it would be well worth sharing.

About 8 years ago, I was in the middle of a divorce, I had no job, and I had three young children to support. I was literally beside myself on how I was going to make ends meet. One day I was sharing my circumstances with a close friend and she told me to call a place called the Caritas Center. I thought about it for several days then reluctantly picked up the phone and made the call. When I called they were very nice and seemed understanding of my situation, which was a relief for me. I went to my appointment and was more than surprised when they pulled out two wagons full of food out to my car. This was so much more than I had expected and I was so grateful.

That was first and last time I went there, but they never forgot who I was because that Christmas I received a call from them asking if I could please come down and pick up Christmas presents for my children. I was so stunned and at the same time felt so blessed because this Christmas in particular was going to be very slim.

So the reason I'm telling you this story is because I always thought that if I could ever give back to the Caritas Center I would jump on the opportunity. Well here is that moment! The Coupon Posse' is going to "GIVE BACK" and we are giving it all to the Caritas Center. We would love for you to join us! Remember, little acts of kindness can make a world of difference, and can make a huge impact on someone else’s life.

Okay, so here are a couple of details, like where and when.....

You could either drop your donations off directly to the Caritas Center at:
N 2919 Monroe
Spokane, WA 99205
M, W, Th from 10:00-1:00

OR, you could even meet up with The Coupon Posse, TOMORROW, September 15th between 10:00-1:00 at.....

Safeway (in the parking lot)
N 1616 NW BLVD
Spokane, WA 99205

This is a great way to "give back." A BIG THANK YOU to The Coupon Posse' for hosting such an event and to JoDee for sharing her story!

Going to be in the Tri-Cities this weekend?

Are you looking for a way to give back? Well, I have just the thing for you.  There is going to be a benefit yard/bake sale there. This will be put on by some of my family members as a couple of my other family members lost their home last weekend to a fire. Luckily, everyone is safe! Anyway, there is going to be a yard/bake sale and they could really use the help.

They will be collecting some personal hygiene items, paper products, and some non perishable foods for the family. So if you have lots of extra of these types of items (as many of us couponer’s do..) your donations would be greatly appreciated.

When: Saturday, August 14
Time: 8am -2 pm
Address: 9125 S. Argent, Pasco

At the yard/bake sale there will be Furniture, yummy goodies, household items, clothes, ski equipment, lots of misc. Thanks for your help!

Thanks!

Free Toddler Enfagrow At Safeway

I have not confirmed the price of this, but there is a coupon over here for $5/1 ANY can of Enfagrow formula. Anway, I wasn't going to post this because I have not had a chance to confirm this, but the sale supposedly ends tomorrow, so I wanted to give you all a chance to get some if you wanted. Anyway, Safeway is supposed to have this on sale this week for 2 for $10 (the sale ends today).

I was checking out The Coupon Girl's blog and she gave me one of those "light bulb moments." You know the kind where you kinda hit your hand on your forehead and say "why didn't I think of that?" She had stated that she doesn't have a toddler in the house and suggested that if you don't, to still pick some up and donate it to someone in need of a "helping hand." THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!!! So, I don't know about you, but I think I am going to Safeway tonight and checking out that price to see if I can score me some FREE Enfagrow. I will then pack it up with the rest of my stuff when I get ready to donate and will donate that too.

Where do you donate your extra stock to? I would love to hear your stories.

Thanks Coupon Girl!
