Rite Aid Run

Well, I did have my $8 in +Up Rewards expiring today and I knew I needed to get envelopes. So, here is what we came up with for our trip.....

Okay, here is what my transaction looked like.....

Rite Aid Envelopes 100 ct $2.39
-20% discount (YAY! I forgot all about my discount)
=$1.91

Chloraseptic Kids Melts $3.99 X1
-no coupon
=$3.99

*Visine-A $6.99 X1
-20% discount (YAY again! I forgot all about my discount on this too)
$5.59
-$2 in-ad coupon
-$2/1 printable
=$1.59!!

Rite Aid Whole Cashews $0.79!!!!!

-$1 VV from watching Wellness video
-$10 in +Up Rewards

(I had read this morning somewhere on a blog that these were on clearance in their area. I'm sorry to the blogger who shared this info as I cannot remember, for the life of me, who it was. Thank you though!! Anyway, I wanted to give it a shot and see and low-and-behold THEY ARE)!!!!!

Here is some of the info....They are Rite Aid Pantry, Whole Cashews, Lightly Salted, and the UPC # you might want to look for is.... 011822602174

TOOP was --$0.35 (that is negative thirty-five cents). My tax was $0.93, so I wound up paying $0.58 cash. PLUS, I got back $4 in +Up Rewards ($3 for the Chloraseptic and $1 for the Visine). Not bad, considering I didn't really care today. I saved....$41.68!!

*Regarding the Visine, I bought the more expensive Visine as I love the stuff. It is called Visine-A. It is way different than the regular Visine. I have REALLY bad seasonal allergies that like to start up in the springtime (I started getting shots last year and now swear by 'em). If you have hay fever, then you know what this feels like! IT'S AWFUL!!! :( There are times that I itch my eyes so bad that I get welts underneath the lower eyelid and above. It's NOT a pretty sight. Anyway, I am too cheap to use the Pataday and other Rx eye drops that are out there, as they are WAYYYYY too expensive. They work GREAT, but I can't afford an expensive eye drop each month. Anyway, if you are like me at all and use regular Visine to "stop the itch," then you have experienced that this makes your itching worse. Right? Well, that's not fun either. Anyway, I discovered the Visine-A a few years ago and I swear by it. Yeah, it is a little more expensive than the regular Visine and whatnot, but this, in my opinion, is the BEST OTC eye drop for the ones who suffer from the "itchy eyes," caused from hay fever/seasonal allergy sufferer. Well, it is the best for me and I highly reccommend it to anyone who has these same issues. I would rather pay, in my case today, $0.59 (after my +Up Reward) than $30+ for the Rx.

Anyway, those are just my two-cents and ALL MY OWN OPINION! I just wanted to share that with you, just in case you have these same issues and maybe was looking for something else to try.

Okay, good luck to you. I hope you are able to get your deal on.

Safeway Run

Well, we had to go out to Rite Aid today as I had $8 in +Up expiring today. I just really wanted to hurry as Blakey is feeling better just not 100%, so I didn't want him out too much. Anyway, since "my" Safeway is right next to Rite Aid, I REALLY wanted to see if they had any Reach toothbrushes and get some more FREE gum too.

Well, I had a successful trip and a not-so-successful trip. The good news is I found a $2 Catalina lying in my cart. The bad news....I didn't take the time and digest the amount. I KNEW it was $2, but got in my head that is $5. :(

So, here is what we got......

Well, as you can see there is only one pack of gum in my picture. :( Yep, that was my second mistake. I used my coupon for B1G1 free with the sale that they are having for buy1 get 1 free, BUT ONLY GRABBED ONE PACK!! Bummer!

I had it all planned out that I would only pay something like $0.34 or something like that, but that didn't go as planned since I miscalculated my FREE Catalina. Here is what the transaction looked like.....

Trident Vitality $1.29 X1 (I should have grabbed two)
-B1G1 free coupon
=FREE!

Dial Nutriskin hand soap $0.99 (this sale is only through today) X4
-$0.35/1 from 3/13 RPX4
=$2.56, making these just $0.64 each! (That's pretty good for me)

Reach toothbrush $1.83 X4
-$1/1 from insert a longtime ago X4
=$3.32, making them just $0.83 each!

-$4.50 in Catalinas

TOOP was $2.36 (I basically paid for my hand soap). Plus, I got back another $4 Catalina from the Reach toothbrushes! I did end up making a little money, but it would have been better if, I would have slowed down and wasn't in such a hurry. That's okay. I still did pretty good. :)

Thanks!

Monday Weigh-In Report

I don't know about you, but I am just wiped. The time change does this to me EVERY time. My body has a hard time adjusting. I swear I'm worse than the kiddos. :)

Anyway, I had my weekly date with Mr. Scale on Sunday. I think he's liking on me right now. ;) I say, "hey, I'm married, but for you Mr. Scale ANYTHING so you can keep giving me what I want." :)

Well, I was a bit apprehensive before setting a single foot on Mr. Scale as last week was my third week into doing "good." I can't remember if I shared this with you, but that week is usually my "bad" week. I usually just say heck with it, I'm gonna eat whatever and however much I want. I DID snack a little more, but I TRACKED it. If you are a WW, then you know that tracking is BIG in our world. WE LIVE BY TRACKING! :)

I did do Zumba two times last week! I LOVE IT!!! I CANNOT SEEM TO GET ENOUGH OF IT! I don't know about you, but I have this tendency to over indulge when I REALLY like something (could be why I am a WW), so I am trying not to with Zumba. I REALLY REALLY want to do Zumba EVEN more in a week, but I think I better stick to just the two times a week for now. Seriously, I'm already addicted, I THINK ABOUT IT EVERYDAY!:) Anyway, I'm serious, if you want to join me, let me know and we can meet up and just have a "frugal" good time with no kiddos and no men for an hour. It's only 3-bucks!!! Well, you had to have known that I would not spend a bunch on a class. Remember I am cheap frugal. ;)

Anyway, yep, I mustered up enough courage, jump on Mr. Scale and he said........"down 2 pounds!" WAHOOOOOOO!!! YAY!!!! I'M ON FIRE NOW!!! Watch out 'cause here I come fat!!! I'm coming for you and going to make you into NOTHING!!! Well.....I hope to.

I just need to share that YES I am SUPER DUPER happy with my loss of 2 pounds, but I am especially excited that with my bad week last week (yes it was all week) that I kept plugging away at being on plan. I didn't give up. It would have been sooooo easy to give up with all the stress that we were dealing with AND I DIDN'T. That, for me, my friends, is a victory! I don't really eat when I am stressed, but when I do I don't "think" about what I am eating and just eat whatever and I DIDN'T do that. Yay for me!

I hope you all had a good week on your plan and you were successful too!

Here's to another good week. Keep up your good work. Hey, it's starting to get nice. Time to start thinking about taking those walks and bike rides. :)
