Safeway Update

Just got back from Safeway and a couple of things......

Dr Pepper is on sale for $0.99 when you buy five. Use that with your new $0.60/1 coupon here and you have a pretty awesome deal.

Also, included in the buy 4 save $4 sale are the Oatmeal Delight Bars and Cookies. They are priced at $1.50. Remember that you can mix and match. I got a little clarification the other day from the manager, as I only had 3 Capri Sun coupons last week (I think they were on sale for $1.50 when you bought 4) for the deal last week and I had a $1/1 for the grape juice (I think they were $1.99 when you bought 4). Well, you can actually mix and match between the two different price groups, you just have to stick to the rules of buying the amount stated. I didn't know that. I thought that was really cool.

Karissa over at Confessions of a Couponaholic shared her deal of getting the Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-a-Clean for dirt cheap over at Safeway and I gave that a try this morning too and IT WORKED!!!

Here is what you do.....

Scrubbing bubbles on sale for $6.99 each X1
-$5.00/1 Printable Coupon X1 (print two if you can)
= $1.99 plus tax (don't forget you need to pay tax on the full price of the item before your coupon) for one spray cleaner.
THEN..... YOU GET BACK A $3 Catalina for each one that you buy. If you buy 2, then you get TWO Cats back for $3 each. Thus, MAKING A PROFIT!!! YEAH!!! :)

is Thursday!!! Yeah!!! Tomorrow is Friday!!! Anyway, it is that time of the week again. I get to go help with my daugther's class today. I don't get to help with my son's class as they are in the middle of those MSP tests today. Anyway, I will be out for most of the morning, but will try to get back to posting this afternoon.

Grocery Deal of The Week

I have decided to try something "new." Well, new for me. I am going to try to post at least one grocery deal a week that would be easy for a someone who has just joined us in couponing. I will do a separate posting for a department store deal of the week and will try to do that Sunday or Mondays. I will show you what the price of the item is and where to get your coupon, and how much you "should" spend on it. Now, these are not set in stone as some prices vary from region-to-region or maybe we have different coupons, or even maybe your cashier wouldn't accept it, who knows, there are so many reasons why it could be different, but I will do my best here.

Okay, so for our first one.........



Safeway is the place for our deal of the week.

Kellogg's Cereals (Corn Flakes) are on sale this week for $1 each when you buy 4. It is called the Buy any 4 Save $4.

Corn Flakes X4=$4
Use this coupon, which is Save $1/2 (Save one dollar off of two packages of Kellog's Cereals). You can print this twice.
So, use two of the $1/2
Total is going to be $2 for four boxes of cereal.
Plus you will get back a $3 Catalina (a coupon to use on whatever you would like at Safeway) to use on your next order, at the checkout. SO, YOU JUST MADE MONEY!!! YOU MADE $1!! YEAH!

If you don't like Corn Flakes, they also have some others on sale too, but they are a little higher in price, like Froot Loops and so forth. They are actually $1.50. So, you could use the same coupon, but your out of pocket expense would be a little more.
