Well, I had seen a FANTABULOUS deal that I wanted to go check out at Walgreens to see if it was accurate for our area, but I am sad to say that it was not for my Walgreens, but I did manage to score a good deal anyway. So, first, for the deal that was a no-go at "my" Walgreens (Trent and Argonne). I had heard that they (Walgreens) has Dove body wash on sale 2 for $4, then you would use the coupon from here for $3/2, making them JUST $0.50 each! Well, it was a no-go at my Walgreens. Maybe yours? It's worth checking out if you are in need of body wash.

Okay, so for the deal I did score.....

Here are the deals I came away with....

Folgers Classic Roast $2.79 X2
-$2/1 printable (NLA-no longer available) X2
=$1.58, making them just $0.79 each!

Dill Pickle $1.17
-clearance $0.46
=$0.71!

TOOP was $2.29! I know I know some of you are probably saying GROSS, but I, for some reason, have had the biggest craving for a pickle like this. So, when I saw it I had to grab it and it is oh soooo good. My kids are going to be jealous if they see this post, as I only got one. shhhhh.....

FYI.......IT WAS ONLY THE CLASSIC ROAST THAT WAS AT THIS PRICE. All the others were $4.79.

Yay, I LOVE it when Walgreens has their Friends and Family Event. This is a GREAT way to save EVEN MORE when doing a little shopping at Walgreens today. So, just go on over here and either print out the coupon or get the online coupon code if you are going to do some Walgreens shopping online. You can save an extra 15% off of your transaction if you are shopping in the store or online OR you can save an extra 20% off of Walgreens and W brand items! BUT, make sure when you get ready to do your transaction that you go to either the photo counter or the beauty counter, so they can help you there (this is per Walgreens).

One of the places I stopped at yesterday was Walgreens (no picture).  I wanted to get some of their $0.99 Reach Toothbrushes. I managed to grab three, as that was all they had left! Wow! What can I expect with FREE toothbrushes available? I really didn't expect them to have any. So, I consider myself pretty lucky. We have been going through toothbrushes like crazy over here, with all the sickness that has been going around our house. Anyway, maybe some of you are aware of this, but I was quite surprised when I did this transaction....

Walgreens' Corporate Coupon Policy IS LIVE!!!

** I just wanted to repost this for those of you maybe wanting to try the B1G1 free Right Guard at Walgreens and had some questions. It is clearly stated in their policy that you can do it, but you really should print their policy out and have it with you JUST in case you run into problems.

Wahoo! FINALLY, Walgreens has a printable coupon policy! Here is what I got from their (Walgreens) website.

As a customer-focused retailer, Walgreens encourages the use of coupons by our customers in our retail stores, in accordance with the following guidelines.

Guidelines:


General

All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier at the time of checkout.

Walgreens does not accept expired coupons.

Coupons and their face value cannot be exchanged for cash or gift cards.

Competitor coupons are not accepted at Walgreens.

Walgreens cannot accept coupons for items not carried in our stores.

The number of manufacturer coupons, including Register RewardsTM manufacturer coupons, may not exceed the number of items in the transaction. The total value of the coupons may not exceed the value of the transaction. Sales tax must be paid, if required by state law.
Any coupon offer not covered in these guidelines will be accepted at the discretion of Walgreens management.


Sale Items
Walgreens will accept manufacturer coupons for an item that is on sale.
In the event that any item's selling price is less than the value of the coupon, Walgreens will only accept the coupon in exchange for the selling price of the item. Coupon redemption can never exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons.


Multiple Coupons
When purchasing a single item, Walgreens accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable Walgreens coupon(s) for the purchase of a single item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.
The coupon amount must be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied. (For example, a $5.00 coupon for a $4.99 item will result in a $4.99 coupon value).

When purchasing multiple items, Walgreens accepts multiple identical coupons for multiple qualifying items as long as there is sufficient stock to satisfy other customers, unless a limit is specified. Management reserves the right to limit the quantity of items purchased.


Buy One, Get One Free Coupons


When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.

Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offers, if required by applicable state laws.

Internet/Print at Home Coupons
Walgreens accepts valid internet/print at home coupons.

Register RewardsTM coupons
Earning Register RewardsTM
Register RewardsTM will only print for in-stock merchandise during the promotional period.

Register RewardsTM can only be earned for eligible items. No substitutions.
There is a limit of one Register RewardsTM (RR) printed per offer per customer per transaction.
Customers redeeming a Register RewardsTM against the same offer may not receive another RR.


Redeeming Register RewardsTM

Customers redeeming a Register RewardsTM against the same offer may not receive another RR.
Refer to Register RewardsTM coupon for expiration date.
The RR coupon value cannot exceed the total purchase amount. No cash back and no cash value for RR coupon.

Walgreen's Run

Look at what my hubby came home with today.....

He LOVES LOVES LOVES this stuff, and went down today to grab his VERY last bar of deodorant of this stuff. So, needless to say he was pretty darn excited to see that we had a B1G1 free coupon to go along with the sale at Walgreens for B1G1 free.

Here is what his transactions looked like....

Transaction #1
Right Guard Deodorant X4 $4.49
-B1G1 Free Walgreens sale
-B1G1 free coupon from 3/13 RP X4

TOOP was ZERO, with $0.78 tax. Total saved was $17.96

Transaction #2
Right Guard Body Wash $4.99 X4
-B1G1 free Walgreens sale
-B1G1 free coupon from 3/13 RP X4 (of note the coupon states that the free item value is up to $4.49, but she gave him the whole $4.99 free)

TOOP was ZERO, with $0.87 tax. Total saved was $19.96!

Total saved between the two transactions was $37.92!

He said that there was PLENTY of stock on hand at his Walgreens for the rest of you too. :)

Walgreen's Frozen Food Clearance

Hey, I just wanted to give you a quck heads up that Walgreen's is having a GREAT clearance on frozen foods. We did a shop today and saved $100 and spent a $18-something. I did not get to take a picture as my husband put it away before I could.

Some of the items we got....

Lean Cuisine on clerance for $0.90, use the coupons for $1/3 from the Safeway Frozen food book.
Healthy Choice Steamers on clearance for $1, use the coupon for $1/2 from the Safeway book
Various ice cream
OreIda microwavable fries on clearace for $0.32!

Go check it out, you might find something worth buying for you and your family!
