Old Navy Sale

I had heard, through the grapevine, that Old Navy was having an awesome sale on their clearance. I heard that they were having a sale of another 40% off of their already clearanced prices. Well, this is that time of the year that I usually try to go out and buy the kiddos their winter coat for next winter. I usually go to Target, but I thought that I would stop by Old Navy first to check and see what maybe they had to offer. Well........I'm not so sure that was a very good idea.....

I got all of this for $67.58!

Well, I found a couple more items. ;) I REALLY couldn't help myself, as this is also the time of year that I start buying school-clothes too! Plus, this coming year, instead of having to buy for two kiddos, I have to buy for three, as Blakey is going to be starting school too! As you can see I found A LOT of stuff for Faith and a couple of things for the boys. My older son is a little harder as he is getting to that age where it matters what he wears. He has a "reputation to keep up." :) Blakey, I'm just thinking everyone else in town with little boys all wear the same size he does. It is always hard to find clearanced clothes for him, but I DID find two pairs of shoes for him...welll.....and a pair of boots for Faith.

Okay, BUT I did do what I set out to do (two hours later). I bought Faith and Blake their winter coats for next winter. Hers, the pretty pink one, was originally $49.50! No way, no how would I EVER pay that for a coat for a little person. I paid, $6.61! Blakey, his coat was originally $59.50! Again, NO WAY, NO HOW EVER would I pay that either! I paid $7.59! I saved $94.80, just for the coats! Now, I have to tell you that I actually spent $82.58 before tax. Then, I had my Old Navy coupon that I dug up from Barker's Bones for $15 off of $75. Then, my order came down to $67.58! That averages out to be about $3.23 for each item I purchased! Wow, that is AWESOME! So, without the coupon, her coat would have cost me $8.09 and his would have cost me $9.29! Not too shabby! My receipt says I saved $70.18, but I saved more because it didn't take it off of the original price. I will try to figure it out and share with you what the actual numbers were.

I calculated everything and without the sale and coupon, my transaction would have cost me $424.50. I saved $357.00! Wow, now that's frugal!

Anyway, I was talking to the lady at the counter and she said that today was "supposed" to be the last day of the sale, but she wasn't sure as there was so much that they had in stock that it might have to go longer. If I were you, and if you are interested I would call first to see if they are still having their sale. They just might be. :) By the way, this was out at the Valley Mall.

Thank you!

Cheryl

Monday Weigh-In Report

Well, it's Monday again and time for the weigh-in report. Well, one positive thing came out of my weigh-in, AND ONLY one positive thing, and that was the fact that I DIDN'T weigh-in last week. I think that would have been more scary.

I gained 14.8 pounds!!! It must have been a good 20 pounds the week before, as I DID do the plan (somewhat) last week.

This week I am starting the training plan of the C25K Running program. I have never done this program as I have always done the running stuff on my own, but have never ran a whole 5K. I have always walked a little. So, this year, I am going to do the 5K that I have done the past two years and this time I am going to run the whole thing. So, I'm hoping with this training plan I can do it and get my butt back on the wagon. Boy, Christmas REALLY threw me for a loop. I am so sad because I did so good the weeks before. Then, I let myself get derailed.

Well, as they say that is all "water under the bridge." There is NOTHING standing in my way now. So, time to quit whining AGAIN and get back to work!

Today is a new day and I can't do ANYTHING about what I ALREADY did to get myself 14.8 pounds back, but I CAN do something about getting it back off. So, here we go........

Thanks!

Cheryl

PS-The C25K program is a program that is designed to get just about anyone from the Couch to running a 5K in or 30 minutes in JUST nine weeks! They have lots of great info on their website. Anyone wanna join me in doing this? I would love to make this a topic of discussion! I am doing my first training session tonight on my treadmill. Their website does have a lot of great info, if you are interested in this. Just go on over here to check it out. The best part....IT'S FREE!!!

Another Special K BOGO Coupon

Yay, just go on over here and you can print this coupon for B1G1 Free Special K coupon (up to $4.49 value).

You can use this this week at Rite Aid with their B1G1 free Special K cereal. I think you end up paying like $0.30 because their cereal is priced at $4.79. Since the coupon is only valid for up to $4.49, then you have to pay the difference from "their" price (the store's price) and the amount of maximum value of the coupon. Not too shabby.

Anyway, if you are new to this, Rite Aid is having a sale on their Special K Cereal right now. The sale is Buy 1 Get one free (B1G1 free). So, per their coupon policy, you can take this coupon for B1G1 free and pair it up with the sale, making them both free (or $0.15 each in our case). This works because the B1G1 free sale is done through Rite Aid, meaning that Rite Aid is paying for the "free" one. Then, you hand your coupon over for the one that "you" are paying for and give that to them, then the manufacturer is paying for the "other" one that you are getting free. So, then you end up getting them both for free!!

Thanks Mojo Savings!
